Recap – MAAE Workshop

If you couldn’t make it here on Saturday, you really missed out! The Greenville Arts Council is proud to have been a host site to MAAE‘s teaching artist workshop, which was a training on how professional artists can hone in on their skills in a school setting. The presentation by Althea Jerome, this year’s recipient of the MS Governor’s Award for Arts in Education, covered everything from an introduction to the MS Frameworks on the Arts to how to begin making a lesson plan. We look forward to continuing to work with both Althea and MAAE on arts integration in the Mississippi Delta! If you missed out, contact Megan Hines, Arts in Education Coordinator at the Greenville Arts Council to learn about other trainings or ways to learn about working with schools.
