Schedule A Carousel Field Trip

Discover Arts Integration at its finest by bringing your students to the Carousel Tour!

The history and mechanism of the Carousel will be explained, and the children will participate in a hands-on science activity. Every student will have the opportunity to take a ride on the Carousel and experience the benefits of a simple machine first-hand! Our field trip is designed to meet requirements for 3rd and 5th Grade students, but we are happy to design a tour for different grade levels.

Prior to your visit, we will send you a comprehensive Tour and Educational Packet that will cover multiple competencies, including:

  • Social Studies: Using a timeline to analyze spatial and ecological relationships between people, places, and environments
  • Science: Designing and constructing a simple machine
  • English/Language Arts: Composing descriptive texts relating to an event

To schedule a field trip, contact Megan Hines at the Greenville Arts Council at 662.332.2246 or mhines@greenville-arts-council.com.
