What kind of Professional Development does the Greenville Arts Partnership offer?
The Greenville Arts Partnership offers two different kinds of Professional Development: hour-long after school sessions and intensive CEU workshops.
After school sessions are conducted by grade level, and the Arts Council offers 1-2 sessions per grade per year. In each session, GAC staff present an arts integrated model lesson and/or specific resources and strategies relating to arts integration.
Intensive CEU workshops, which are typically led by teaching artists from the Mississippi Arts Commission’s roster, take place on Saturdays throughout the school year. The workshop facilitators are experts in the fields of arts education and arts integration, and they provide lively workshops that equip teachers with the necessary skills for confidently integrating the arts in their classrooms.
