Rick Anderson of Clinton, MS will be presenting a FREE 6 hour Professional Development tomorrow, Saturday, January 12th from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center for educators in Greenville Public School District; non-GAP educators can attend the workshop for $60. CEU credits are available for all interested participants for an additional $15 (checks made payable to Delta State University).
Rick Anderson has spent his professional life as an educator and professional artist. Anderson was an art teacher at Coleman Middle School and his works can still be seen across the campuses of the Greenville Public School District. Mr. Anderson’s teacher training workshops focus on using visual arts across the curriculum by using a variety of techniques that can be adapted for the classroom setting. Anderson’s artwork will be on display at the Greenville Art Council’s Roger D. Malkin Gallery during the months of January and February, providing teachers the opportunity to bring their students on a field trip to visit the artwork.
Did you know Rick’s work will be on display in our Roger D. Malkin Gallery for the next two months? Join us tonight for the gallery opening of The Art of Rick Anderson from 5-7 p.m. This great exhibit offers the option of a free field trip for classrooms in the Greenville Public School District while it is on display as well!
Pre-registration is required to attend, make your reservation at http://rickanderson.eventbrite.com/. Hope to see you there!
